Juárez & Associates identified the content for multimedia training materials, including the most appropriate materials to be developed, to increase preschool and elementary school teachers’ understanding of their students’ diverse ethnic and linguistic backgrounds and to help them improve educational delivery and communication with students’ parents.

To identify appropriate content for the materials, J&A conducted research on educators’ current knowledge of the 25 cultural groups most likely to be found in classrooms today. J&A involved community representatives, parents, teachers and administrators in identifying the content for CLASP and making recommendations for developing the CLASP resource kit and curriculum.
